Keep screen awake
Stops the screen auto-locking so live tracking doesn’t pause. Works while the app is open.
Keep tracking when locked
Uses your microphone only to keep the app running in the background — no audio is recorded or sent. The orange mic dot stays on; higher battery use.
Update location every (when locked)
📡 Updates: live (continuous) while the app is open; at the interval above when the screen is locked. Watch the “Last location age” counter — it stays near 0 when live, and climbs then resets each interval when locked.
🔋 Battery, most → least:GPS (high-accuracy — the big one) → Keep-awake (screen stays on) → mic keep-alive for locked-tracking (small). To save power: pick a longer interval, or turn Keep-awake / Locked-tracking off.
Save assistant chats
Keeps your Ask MyGPS questions and answers in Chat history. Turn off to stop saving new chats — already-saved ones stay until you clear them.
