◎ MY GPS — TERMS OF USE

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Applies to the My GPS iOS app and mygps.uk

The service

My GPS shows your position, records tracks, saves places, shares live-location links you create, and raises geofence/arrival alarms. It is provided by AYDA Digital (UK), free of charge, as-is. By using the app or the website you agree to these terms.

Important safety disclaimer

GPS accuracy varies with device, weather, terrain and signal conditions, and alarms depend on your phone's connectivity, battery, and operating-system behaviour. My GPS is not a safety-critical navigation tool, not an emergency service, and geofence or arrival alarms are not a substitute for a security, safeguarding or supervision system. Alarms and shares can be delayed, missed or stopped by the phone (low power mode, background restrictions, no signal, app closed) without warning. Do not rely on it where failure could cause harm or loss. In an emergency, call the emergency services.

Sharing your location — read this

Live-location links, saved places and recorded tracks are sensitive personal information. When you create a share link, anyone who has that link can see the location it shows until it expires or you stop it — including anyone the recipient forwards it to, and anyone who can see the recipient's screen or messages. Please:

We are not responsible for what other people do with location information you chose to share, or for anyone who gains access to your account, device or share links — whether a partner, family member, employer or anyone else. If you think someone is watching your location without your agreement, stop all shares, sign out everywhere, change your Google password, and delete any data you want gone (Account → Delete account removes everything immediately).

Your responsibilities

Who may use it

My GPS is for people aged 13 or over. If you use it to look after a child or a dependent adult, you are responsible for making sure that is lawful and appropriate where you live.

Availability, changes and data loss

This is a free service. It may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn at any time, and we do not promise that any track, place, share or alarm will be recorded, kept or delivered. We are not liable for lost, deleted or corrupted data — use Account → Export my data to keep your own copy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on its accuracy or availability, from missed or late alarms, from data loss, from any misuse of information you chose to share, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to £50. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you use My GPS as a consumer elsewhere you keep the protections your local law gives you.
